There is a difference between “Pet Friendly” and “Made for Pets”

Pet friendly is pretty much all artificial grass – why? Because against real grass and other landscape options, artificial grass does not stain (real grass goes yellow and even dies). Artificial grass is porous, so any liquids will drain away through the product.

Most artificial grass is soft on paws, and when you compare these too-hard landscape alternatives such as stones, gravel etc, you can see why cats and dogs love to play, walk and run on artificial grass.

Regular artificial grass is made with latex to bond the backing. Although extremely rare, cats and dogs can have an allergic reaction to latex. Pets like to urinate within the same area. With regular artificial grass, this means that over time the latex will break down and disintegrate.

It can also start to smell when the latex gets absorbed more with pet urine.

Now to “Made for Pets”

Made for Pets uses absolutely ZERO latex and is totally synthetic. Therefore, the product will not break down, and the smell of urine will not be retained! Also, without latex, there is less risk of an allergic reaction. The yarn used in our new ‘Made for Pets’ range features a Xtra spine technology shaped yarn ensuring it won’t give a spikey feel to those delicate paws. This product is also fully recyclable.
